Yup, it’s true.  The computer security software developer PC Tools has discovered that various hacking products are being sold in DVD format on eBay.  Apparently, these DVDs come with a wide variety of tools that can be used almost instantaneously.  Knowing about how large typical security/pentest tools are in size, one of these DVDs could come with a very large amount of hacking tools and resources.  The sad thing is while eBay may be working on it, I’m sure these kinds of auctions will keep reappearing.

Online security experts have warned that hacking kits, which enable criminals to break into personal email and bank accounts, are being sold on eBay.

PC Tools, suppliers of computer security products, have warned that hackers can buy the software to spy on peoples’ computers.

PC Tools has warned that consumers can buy DVD’s loaded with hacking programs.

The hacking virus is usually sent via an email that masquerades as an image or joke.[more]
