A pretty well-known financial firm, D.A. Davidson, has recently had its databases accessed by an unauthorized user(s). The information stolen consisted of a wide variety of personal and sensitive information. While D.A. Davidson states that they sent letters to their clients as well as took immediate actions, it seems like they were too late. So to all of those who are affiliated with D.A. Davidson, make sure you pay attention to your bank statements. Either that or purchase an identity theft prevention system, which can probably be acquired through your bank.

BILLINGS - One of Montana’s largest financial companies announced Tuesday that some of its customers’ personal account information may have gotten into the wrong hands.
The president and Chief Executive Officer of D.A. Davidson said a database containing information of current and past clients was hacked into by a third party. The company acted quickly, taking its Internet site off-line and sending a letter to clients.[more]
